WHAT IS A GICLE'E? Gicle'e (pronounced jhee-clay) reproductions were originally developed in 1989 as a digital method of fine art printing. The word means "to spray ink" in French. Through the use of quality ink pigments, qicle'e reproductions have been tested to last over 100 years. Gicle'e prints are now found in the finest galleries around the world. Reputable museums including the Louvre, New York's Metropolitan Museum and the Guggenhiem are known to display gicle'e reproductions as part of their collections.
